We will be completing the relevant Inheritance tax return and applying for and obtaining a grant of personal representation.
We will obtain the grant to the personal representatives, on an uncontested basis of the estate and complete the administration of the estate including:
Instructions relating to the deceased, the personal representatives, the beneficiaries, and the assets and liabilities of the estate including life policies. Preparation of the application and supporting documentation, advertising the proposed application, obtaining certificates required to accompany the application, writing to each debtor and creditor for details of their requirements. Signing and filing all necessary documents, responding to any requisitions raised by the court relating to the application, following grant satisfying the requirements of asset holders and getting in the estate, paying debts and attending to distribution to the beneficiaries and final accounting.
We shall not be responsible for other aspects of this matter, in particular, this retainer will not cover advice to you or beneficiaries of the estate where separate advice tailored to individual circumstances may be necessary. We are happy to give further advice to any beneficiary provided this does not conflict with our duty to you the personal representatives; if any beneficiary would like further advice, please let us know and we will let you and/or them know if we can help and, if so, give an estimate of our fees.
